"Company Profile and Founder Testimonial"  Cerberus was concieved in March 2005 and officially established later that year. Our founders vision from day one was to create a dynamic professional company that developed, designed and delivered unique specialist services and effective, practical, "real-world" training courses and products to suit the evolving needs of the corporate sector and civilian organisations.
Drawing on experience gained throughout his professional emergency services career as well as many years of personal interest in self defence, personal safety and corporate risk management he took his idea forward. An innovative dynamic company deserves an interesting name and remembering his Father, an ex Firefighter, telling him stories of beasts from Greek Mythology and heroes throughout history the idea became reality. "Cerberus" was born, taking its name from the multi-headed watchdog of Hades, relentless, strong and the 12th trial of Heracles. From one mans ideas to where we are now, the company has gone from strength to strength year on year and suitably reflects the huge amount of time, effort, imagination and commitment that has gone into making Cerberus what it is today. All clients engaging specialist services in this field must be 100% assured of the integrity, professionalism and specific ability of their providers and with Cerberus this is very clear. With this in mind I have compiled a suitable and relevant testimonial: Our founder wishes to be referred to by his first name only in order to protect his professional background and ensure that no conflicts of interest can ever develop between his business and the professional organisations to which he is connected. Lee has enjoyed a longstanding relevant career history spanning some 26 years. He has served in two of the UK emergency services, nine years of which spent within a specialist department and all of his service spent actively at the front line, having attended thousands of emergency incidents varying in severity. Lee has also been actively involved in Emergency response incident exercises and emergency response planning matters practically since 1989. Throughout his career his acheivements at the highest level of risk management have been recognised in various ways. Lee wishes to withold the full details of these particular incidents so as to not indicate the specific nature of his role and activity at that time . On the 10th June 1996 Lee received his first Commendation for prompt and courageous actions as well as being recognised for his acts by a further second Commendation from a different source in relation to a serious life threatening situation. This incident attracted media attention. On the 28th September 1997 Lee received his third Commendation and on the 18th November 1997 he was also presented with an honorary testimonial on parchment from the Royal Humane Society, Patron Her Majesty the Queen, for gallantly saving life in relation to a rescue in life threatening conditions. This incident attracted media attention. Due to his personal intervention in a number of serious and notable incidents throughout that particular year Lee also later received the Sunderland Echo Quill Award in 1997, an annual award honoring achievement and courage in the community. This award ceremony attracted media attention. On the 21st July 2003 Lee received his sixth award, a Commendation for prompt actions. This incident attracted media attention. On the 27th September 2004 Lee recieved his seventh professional recognition, a Certificate of Compliment for assistance, dedication, bravery, quick thinking and professionalism in difficult and life threatening circumstances. Lee has encountered serious and dynamic situations many times in reality and designed his own training courses in relation to this, from actual hands on personal experience gained through his 30 year plus own training interests and knowledge as well as the real life emergency incidents he has attended, quickly assessed and dealt with. Over the years Lee has also recieved numerous communications of thanks and compliment for good work, prompt actions, professionalism and his personal dedication. These are just some key examples I feel are of particular note to reinforce the genuine experience behind the training and service Lee provides through Cerberus. Lee also has over 30 years personal self defence experience, being drawn more to practical, realistic and fluid defensive systems as well as studying all manner of manual weapons and firearms. This personal interest has lead to him to developing his own self defence system which he delivers personal courses in. This system applies the very best techniques that he knows work most suitably in reality and also he has woven in a fully legally compliant framework recognising legal use of force and potential medical implications. Lee is the National Training Manager and Senior Consultant with Cerberus operationally, as well holding the position of Managing Director. Lee is a member of numerous independent professional bodies and associations in relation to risk management, emergency planning and conflict management. The company has been based and built on this diverse background and practical experience, as well as the introduction of original ideas, unique intellect, new systems and dynamic realistic delivery methods. Lee has designed and developed all of the systems and services including our Disastex incident exercise system and his own real world approach to conflict management and personal safety training. Lees ongoing prime objective has been for Cerberus to be at the forefront of corporate risk management and specialist training services, promoting his dynamic "train for reality" mindset, in order to advance this enthusiastic and highly motivated company in the professional customer focused manner always intended.
